Letter to the Editor
I would like to thank those who responded and helped my husband at the incident where my husband passed away last Wednesday, March 20.
All emergency responders, all at Cheney Middle School, Cheney high teachers Mr. Marsh and Mr. Scarcello; Brad the 911 operator/dispatcher, Sheriff Deputy Truman, Captain Dustin Flock of Spokane County Fire District 3, District 3 Chaplin Ben Hill, Mike Rossey at Cheney Funeral Chapel, Cheney Public School transportation especially Melanie who drives bus route 59 and my sister Esther Hart, sister-in-law John and Carol Westfall and Life Flight, especially Denise and the EMTs.
I was overwhelmed by the amount of responders who came to my rescue and worked hard for well over an hour to try to save my husband. Although he did not make it even with the help of so many people, my three children and I are extremely grateful to them. Chaplin Hill has been over everyday to help n check on us. Capt. Flock held my hand and called my sister from Pullman to help me. Deputy Truman was there from start to finish and didn’t leave till my husband was transported to the funeral home and Mike Rossey at Cheney Funeral Chapel was very kind and helpful.
My sister Esther Hart came up from Pullman to take care of my children and me, and my brother John and wife Carol from Colorado helped too. I really want to thank these angels in our life.
Finally, thank you for David and Deloris Hove for their help, Jeff Sanders at EWU (my oldest daughter’s teacher) and everyone who brought us food and groceries and for all the prayers.,
Sally Ann Killin
