Violet Kapri Morrow named to second team; Grace Kirscher earns honorable mention

A trio of Eastern Washington University women’s basketball players have earned All-Big Sky honors, as announced by the conference on Monday (March 11).

Junior Uriah Howard earned the program’s first-ever Top-Reserve of the Year award while Violet Kapri Morrow was named to the All-Big Sky Second Team. Freshman Grace Kirscher earned an All-Big Sky Honorable Mention nod.

Howard shares the award with Portland State’s Desirae Hansen.

Morrow scored in double digits in 25 out of 27 games this season, including over 20 points in nine contests. In an overtime victory at Montana State, Morrow poured on 37 points which is third all-time in program history for points in a single game. She also garnered a double-double in four games.

As a freshman, Kirscher earns an All-Big Sky Honorable Mention spot after averaging 10.6 points per game. She appeared in all 29 regular season games, making 21 starts and averaging 28.3 minutes.

Kirscher was a threat from three-point range, averaging 1.8 per game on 35.9 percent accuracy to total 51 on the year to lead the team. She also led the team in scoring in seven games this season and had 15 games in double figures, including two 20-point performances.
