Jake Wellman was invited by Medical Lake Mayor Shirley Maike to lead the council and attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance at the Feb. 19 City Council meeting. The 11-year-old member of Silver Lake Ward Boy Scout Troop #3319, was working on his Citizen and Community merit badge.
