StageWest hosts tryouts for ‘Savannah Sipping Society’

StageWest Community Theatre is holding open auditions for the upcoming spring play, “The Savannah Sipping Society,” written by Jessie Jones, Nicolas Hope and Jamie Wooten and directed by Kay Bryon Pacheco. Auditions will be Friday, March 1, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at Cheney’s Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm St. in the lower level of the building.

Rehearsals begin in March and performances will be April 26,27,28 and May 3,4,5,10,11, 2019. The following parts are needed: four females, one non-speaking female role – cameo, dressers, seamstress, lights and sound person and a prop person.

Re*Imagine Medical Lake hosts interchange engineer

Mark Allen, Washington State Department of Transportation project engineer for the Medical Lake interchange project that will be breaking ground this summer, will be the keynote speaker for Re*Imagine Medical Lake’s general meeting Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Medical Lake High School auditorium, 200 E. Barker St., Medical Lake.

Get free tax help from AARP in Medical Lake

The American Association of Retired Persons, or AARP, is offering free tax aide service at the Medical Lake City Hall, 124 S. Lefevre St., on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 5 -7 p.m. through April 11.

Bring your 2017 tax return, valid photo ID, all income statements such as form W-2, 1098 and 1099, Social Security card, proof of other income from you or your spouse, child care provider information, and property tax information if a homeowner.

You do not need to be an AARP member to attend. All ages are welcome. Contact the City of Medical Lake at 509-565-5007 for more information.
