Cheney Congregational Church

Everyone is invited to join our Sunday morning worship service. This week’s sermon by pastor David Krueger-Duncan will be a continuation of the series “Taking Noah Seriously.” We meet in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. and enjoy coffee and conversation in the fellowship hall following the service.

If you enjoy singing, come and join our choir. Our director Kate Francis holds choir practice Sundays at 9 a.m. in the Sanctuary. If you have any questions, call (509) 481-5234.

The pastoral search committee is working with the National Association of Christian Congregational Churches to find a replacement for our pastor, who will be retiring this summer.

On Thursday, Jan. 24, we will prepare and deliver lunch to the kids at Crosswalk in Spokane.

The men’s breakfast will be held at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Marketplace Bakery & Eatery. The men of the Church share stimulating ideas and discussion at this bi-monthly meeting.

Our annual church meeting will be Sunday, Jan. 27, following the service. A lunch of hot dogs, chips and cake will be served.

The new church council will be elected. Women’s fellowship will meet immediately after the annual meeting to elect new officers. Please mark your calendars for these important meetings.

Feed Cheney will be Monday, Jan. 28, at 5:30 p.m. at the Wren Pierson Building. The community is invited to enjoy a free hot meal and grocery distribution. Donations to the Souper Bowl of Sharing will be collected during worship on Sunday, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10. 100 percent of the donations are given to Feed Cheney to assist with their monthly dinner and grocery distribution.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

The congregation of Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, Jan. 27. Fellowship hour follows the worship service.

Adult education class precedes the worship service at 9 a.m. Please note that there is no children’s Sunday school this Sunday.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks you for your continued support of this ministry.

Four Lakes Community Church

A non-denominational Village Missions Church. We exist to exalt the Lord, to educate and edify the saints and evangelize the lost.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. and worship service is at 10:45 a.m. All are welcome.

Our current sermon series is on Genesis by pastor Sean Carney. Current studies include Sunday evening’s “PLACE” at 6 p.m., every other Tuesday’s ladies, Wednesday’s worship practice and Thursday’s “AWANA” all at 6:30 p.m. and second Saturdays’ men at 8:00 am.

Our worship services combine contemporary choruses and traditional hymns.

We are located at 10311 Spokane Street and our Facebook page includes upcoming events.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit.

Choir practice continues under the direction of Alexandra Rannow. We practice every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Come sing with us.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

You will always find a warm welcome at the United Methodist Church. This Sunday pastor Alissa Bertsch will be preaching the third in a sermon series on “Greater Gifts” as we explore and discern our own gifts from the Holy Spirit.

A multi-age Sunday school class for elementary and middle school students meets before worship at 9 a.m. Tuesday evenings there is a confirmation class at the church at 5:30.

Next Sunday UMC will join churches and organizations across the nation in the ‘Souper Bowl of Caring.’ Our donations will go to support Feed Cheney.
