Cheney Congregational Church

Cheney Congregational Church invites everyone to join our worship service Sunday at 10 a.m. We’re a welcoming church which encourages diverse theological viewpoints. Come and be inspired by the thought-provoking sermon delivered by Rev. David Krueger-Duncan. Plan to stay for coffee and conversation in the fellowship hall following the service.

The “Lunch Bunch” meets Thursday, Jan. 10, at noon in the fellowship hall. Everyone is welcome to join the potluck and share good food and conversation.

The men’s breakfast will be Sunday, Jan. 13, at 7:45 a.m. at the Marketplace Bakery and Eatery. There is always an enthusiastic exchange of ideas and personal interests.

If you enjoy singing, consider lending your voice to our outstanding choir. Our director, Kate Francis, holds choir practice Sundays at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary. For more information call Kate at 509-481-5234.

The church council will meet Monday, Jan. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. All congregants are welcome to attend.

The community is invited to enjoy our free educational series “Things I Learned Somewhere.” The program has been moved from the second Wednesday to the fourth Wednesday of the month. On Wednesday, Jan. 23, Carl Schewnn will discuss Native American art and give specific information on several pieces located in our sanctuary. Plan to stay for coffee, cookies and conversation following the presentation.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, Jan. 13, at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate the baptism of our Lord. Mary Morrow, the director for evangelical mission for the Synod, will be our guest speaker. Fellowship follows the worship service.

Adult education will meet before service at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.

Heritage Baptist Church

Heritage Baptist Church’s Satellite Center for Crown College, Inland Northwest College of the Bible, is offering an “Introduction to the Bible” course during the lunch hour beginning Jan. 21. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit.

Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside. Wishing all a blessed New Year of peace, hope and love.

United Methodist Church

Please join us this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Pat Sleeth will begin a new sermon series, “Greater Gifts.” We will also remember our baptisms and welcome new members during the worship service. Sunday school classes precede worship at 9 a.m.

Sunday evening the adult fellowship will gather at the church for a Mexican fiesta.Bring your favorite Mexican dish and join in the potluck, fun and fellowship beginning at 6 p.m.
