Two unsuspecting Eastern Washington University students are suprised with scholarships on Nov. 27 as part of the college’s “Giving Joy Day.” The day is a take on International Giving Tuesday, dedicated to encouraging generosity and goodwill. Giving Tuesday occurs annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The goals of Giving Joy Day are to fundraise for the university, and specifically to raise $275,000 for scholarships and other areas of student need.
