God’s Word, the Bible, is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. Sometimes the block to the answers to questions you might have is asking the right question. Sometimes we realize that we don’t want to face the answer to the real question so we skirt the issue. Last week, we touched on one of the Bibles great truths. God does love us and offers us a very exciting future, so what seems to be the block to fulfilling that great future?
The Bible tells us that sin in our lives blocks the fulfillment of God’s great blessings. The Book of Romans in the Bible tells us that we are all sinners, but God provides a way through that block — His son Jesus. If we believe by faith in Jesus He will remove the blocks and that eternal joy can be ours. If you have any questions please call us at 342-6038.
Inland Northwest School of the Bible is looking forward to its first course from the Bible. The first class is the Introduction to the Old Testament. It is available to students in the general area to help them better serve their churches. To find out more information or to register for the class call 342-6038.
United Methodist Church
Please join us for Sunday morning worship this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Pat Sleeth will be speaking and conclude a sermon series based on the Book of Job. Prior to worship, at 9 a.m. there is a multi-age Sunday school class for elementary and middle school students.
There will be an early Thanksgiving dinner and fellowship gathering at the church immediately following worship this Sunday. The planned potluck will combine with and take the place of the monthly adult fellowship gathering.
Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, the annual church conference will take place at 7 p.m. at the church. This annual business meeting of the church will be preceded by a potluck at 5 p.m.
You may call the church office for additional information and study opportunities.
