West Plains Angels benefit at Cheney Napa Auto Parts
Cheney’s Napa Auto Parts is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the West Plains Angels organization. The West Plains Angels mission is to financially assist “veterans organizations, churches, other non-profits and groups that enrich the quality of our community by helping and being of service to others.”
The fundraiser is Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Napa, located at 20 Simpson Parkway. There will be a 20 percent storewide discount on products, along with 50 percent off wiper blades and 25 percent off Carlyle Tools.
There will also be hot chocolate and treats along with a 50/50 raffle.
Church hosts holiday bazaar
Emmanuel Lutheran Church is hosting a holiday bazaar and luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the church, 639 Elm St. in Cheney. The luncheon runs from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A variety of crafts and other gift ideas will be available for purchase.
Feed Cheney moves back to Wren Pierson Oct. 29
Feed Cheney is moving back to the Wren Pierson Community Center, 615 Fourth St., beginning with the Oct. 29 meal. All are welcome at the free monthly dinner and grocery distribution on the last Monday of most months.
Dinner music for the October meal will be provided by a string quartet of students from the EWU Music Department. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. with free immunizations and coats also offered this month.

Lisa Brown supporters invited to march in parade
The Cheney Friends of Lisa Brown, 5th District Congressional candidate, are inviting others to join them marching and waving signs during Eastern Washington University’s Homecoming parade. The parade is Friday, Oct. 26.
If interested, the lineup begins at 4 p.m. at Hargreaves Hall parking lot P17. The parade starts at 6 p.m. Come join us and bring your friends.
