Northern Quest Resort and Casino will be the place for comedy and classic rock in early January as they welcome comedian Frank Caliendo and REO Speedwagon to the Pend Oreille Pavilion state Jan. 11 and Jan. 17.
Famous for his impressions of sports, Hollywood and political personalities, Caliendo has been making people laugh his entire life. His high-energy act is a blend of observations, impressions, characters and anecdotal stories that start at a frenetic pace and never let up.
After completing an impressive 10-year run on the “Fox NFL Sunday Pregame” show, Caliendo recently found a new home at ESPN, where he joined the cast of the “Sunday NFL Countdown.” His segments often appear on “Sports Center” and other popular ESPN shows.
Well known for his variety of sports-related impressions, Caliendo makes his live shows appealing for everyone by continually including a little bit of every major genre — sports, political figures and celebrities.
Show time is 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $49/$59/$69 and go on sale Saturday, Sept. 29 at 9 a.m.
Recently named the state of Illinois top rock band of all time, REO Speedwagon is a band with a deep history of producing top hits, and remains a force in the music industry. With a start in 1967, the band has released 16 studio albums including “Hi Infidelity” (1980) which sold more than 10 million copies alone.
The band holds two number one singles, “Keep On Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” among many others that hit the charts, such as “Do I Wanna Know,” “Keep The Fire Burnin,’” “Take It On The Run” and “Don’t Let Him Go.” Throughout multiple decades of success, the band has marked its spot in music history with more than 40 million albums sold and 13 Top 40 hits.
Current band members include Kevin Cronin on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Bruce Hall on the bass guitar, and lead and harmony vocals, Neal Doughty on the keyboards, Dave Amato on lead vocals and guitar, and Bryan Hitt on the drums.
