Turnbull Wildlife Refuge and Spokane Audubon Society are hosting a community work part Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon at the refuge. This is part of an ongoing effort to restore native riparian habitat that benefits area wildlife species, with volunteers planting native saplings and building fencing to protect trees.
Everyone is welcome to participate. Refuge officials ask that groups register in advance in order to assistance planning details.
