Eastern Washington University Gallery of Art is pleased to present "Everland," an exhibition of recent works by Katie Creyts, Sept. 27 through Oct. 25. The artist will give a lecture on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at noon in room 116 in the Art Building. An opening reception will be held immediately following the lecture in the Gallery of Art.
Creyts is an artist, art professor at Whitworth University and an arts advocate living in Spokane. Creyts visualizes narratives using a wide range of materials, currently graphite on paper and etched glass.
She has an masters of fine arts from Illinois State University, a bachelors of fine arts from Tyler School of Art and has received scholarships for study at The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Pilchuck Glass School and The Studio at the Corning Museum. Creyts has recently exhibited her work at Lewis and Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, Gallery One in Ellensburg and Benaroya Glass Gallery at the Museum of Northwest Art in LaConner, Wash.
The Gallery of Art is located in the Art Building situated in the center of the Fine And Performing Arts Complex on the EWU campus in Cheney. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed weekends and holidays. Admission is free.
