July 24
Andreis D. Valencia, 22, Tavion E. Lewis, 20, and a 16-year-old male were arrested for second-degree theft/shoplifting for a theft from a vehicle incident that took place on May 16 on the 2800 block of First Street.
July 26
Tyler L. Rasmussen, 30, and Adan P. Monreal, 27, were arrested for second-degree rape for an incident that took place on the 700 block of Villard Street on Aug. 26, 2017.
July 29
Omar M. Suliman, 22, was arrested for fourth-degree assault for an incident that occurred earlier in the day on the 300 block of First Street.
July 30
A pair of sunglasses were turned in to the police department.
Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of North 11th Street. A CD player was taken.
July 31
Jennifer A. Stanley, 41, was arrested on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road for felony possession of a controlled substance.
Violation of a court order was reported on the 800 block of Villard Street.
Mental health issue was reported on the 2200 block of First Street. Subject was involuntarily committed.
Police assisted the fire department with a motorcycle that was on fire on the 100 block of Paradise Road.
Aug. 1
A burglary was reported on the 500 block of North Third Street. Call was subsequently changed to trespassing.
Residential burglary was reported on the 300 block of Oak Street. Tools and clothing were taken.
Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 1500 block of Third Street.
A lost child was reported on the 700 block of West First Street.
A cellphone was found on the 800 block of Fifth Street.
A vicious animal was reported on the 2200 block of First Street.
Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 800 block of Fourth Street. Damage to patio furniture.
Aug. 2
A gym bag was found on the 100 block of Betz Road.
Trespassing was reported on the 2200 block of North Sixth Street.
Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of Vine Street. Tools and wheels were taken.
Aug. 3
Attempted suicide was reported on the 2600 block of First Street. Subject was involuntarily committed.
A black and gray bicycle was found on the 700 block of Mike McKeehan Way.
Aug. 4
Lisa M. Sholtys, 40, was arrested on the zero hundred block of North Second Street for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief.
Trespassing was reported on the 2400 block of First Street.
Aug. 5
Leandra F. Taylor, 31, was arrested on the 400 block of First Street for attempting to elude a police vehicle, third-degree assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer.
Ya Q. Sun, 35, was arrested at the police department on a Spokane Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on charges of fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. Sun was also held on an undisclosed warrant out of California while a California bail bondsman arranged extradition for skipping bail.
