Northern Quest opens kid-friendly attractions June 29

Northern Quest Resort and Casino officially opens their Kids Quest and Cyber Quest on June 29 for family-friendly activities.

On the Kids Quest side, an hourly children's entertainment center for children between the ages of six weeks to 12 years will be featured.

Included in the Kids Quest is a private "Tiny Tot" room for babies six weeks to 30 months. The next stage is "Club 305" that has age-appropriate activities for kids 30 months to five years old.

Other items for kids to enjoy during their time there is a creation station for arts and crafts, a sports zone gym for physical activity and a "Karaoke Star Stage" for kids to sing and dance in costume. Also included is a Techno Quest where attendees can play with the latest video games, an Apple iPad station and a Quest Café that serves meals and beverages.

Parents can drop off their kids at Kids Quest on Monday through Thursdays from 11 a.m. – midnight. On Friday, hours are 11 – 1 a.m. and on Saturday from 10 – 1 a.m. On Sunday, hours of operation are 10 a.m. – midnight.

If the kid is under 30 months of age, it costs $12 an hour per child and $11 an hour for kids 31+ months. The staff provided is certified in CPR and first aid practices.

On the Cyber Quest side, there are 70 of the latest non-violent and family-friendly arcade games featured. There is also a "Cyber Quest Prize Zone" that participants can redeem tickets earned from their arcade play. The prizes include small toys to designer accessories and technology devices.

Cyber Quest uses an electronic card system, so that means participants don't have to carry around their tickets and money everywhere, the card does it for them.

All ages are allowed in the arcade area, but kids 13 years and under need a parent to be supervising during their time there.

Kids Quest and Cyber Quest are operated by New Horizon Kids Quest, Inc., a family-owned business in Plymouth, Minn. Their first space opened in 1992 and they are currently located in 13 states at 20 casino resorts.

Both of the amenities are open seven days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays. The operations employed approximately 20 to 25 full-time and part0time employees.
