Ray Strieff, a 70-year graduate of Cheney High School, joined the celebration of 2018 graduates Corbin Ryan, Calvin Edwards and Cole Smith held at J&M Fabrication in Cheney last week. Over those 70 years, Strieff has served as a mentor and encourager for a number of young men and women in the local community, Mitchell Smith - class of 1971 - said.
Successful ranchers, Smith said Ray and his wife Carol extolled the ideas of hard work and preparing for the future. Smith added that a number of the members of the CHS class of 2018 were in attendance at the celebration.
