The Cheney High class of 1978 is hosting 40-year reunion this August

The Cheney High School class of 1978 is planning its 40-year reunion for this August. There will be a “best ball” golf outing at Fairways Golf Course on Friday, Aug. 3, followed by a get together on the patio afterwards. Saturday, Aug. 4, plan to spend the evening on Lake Coeur d’Alene on a dinner cruise.

Feed Medical Lake celebrates seventh year

Feed Medical Lake celebrates its seventh year on Monday, June 11. Free groceries distribution begins at 4:15 p.m. with the free supper to follow at 5 p.m., consisting of hamburgers, chips, veggie sticks, cake and ice cream.

There will be games, door prizes and a “resource fair” featuring the Medical Lake Library, Avista and other agencies that provide services to the community. And it’s all free, so bring the family.

A spring rummage sale is taking place at Medical Lake’s St. John’s Lutheran Church, 223 S. Hallett St. on Friday, June 8, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday, June 9, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Amazing prices — come check it out.

Senior activities planning meeting set

Those interested in helping launch a program for senior adult activities in Medical Lake are invited to attend a meeting Wednesday, June 13 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, located at 223 S. Hallett Street.

Wellness event in Airway Heights June 9

Airway Heights will have a third annual health and wellness event coming soon in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet on June 9, thanks to the Neighborhoods Matter program in Spokane. The activities will run from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. with opportunities for the whole family to enjoy.

The program is partnering with Grocery Outlet, who is sponsoring the event. All of the business in the same area of the store will be participating in some sort of way that includes having a booth or running some special sales during the day.
