Eastern Washington University ROTC cadets had the unique opportunity to depart from the Cheney campus to the Seven Mile area of the Spokane River for the annual two-day field training exercise via an Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook helicopter. With a crew of three, the Chinook has a payload capacity of 24,000 pounds, about 33-55 troops.
