StageWest presents Dickens' classic 'Christmas Carol'

StageWest Community Theatre proudly presents a Readers’ Theatre production of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” adapted by Tony Palermo and directed by Kathleen Bell. This production has a limited number of performances, StageWest’s publicity director Nancy Kuonen said in an email, advising the public to not “wait and miss out.”

“Christmas Carol” is the timeless story of a miserable miser, Ebeneezer Scrooge, who on one special Christmas Eve is visited by his dead partner, Jacob Marley, and three other “ghosts” who teach him the true meaning of Christmas.

StageWest presents this play as a radio drama complete with live sound effects. There will only be six performances, Fridays Dec. 1 and 8 at 7 p.m., Saturday Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees on Dec. 3 and 10 at 3 p.m. There will also be a special dinner theatre on Saturday Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.

The dinner theatre is by reservations only, which must be made and paid for by Friday Dec. 8. The dinner is catered by Mike Hartman.

Tickets are adults $12, seniors $10 and students with valid school identification $5. Dinner theatre tickets are $30 per person.

All performances held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 639 Elm St. in Cheney. To make dinner reservations call Kuonen at (509) 768-4792.
