Medical Lake volleyball had a winless week, but were ever so close to earning their first set victory of the season. In the span of four days, the Cardinals lost 3-0 matches to Newport, Riverside and Colville.
Following a 14-25, 11-25, 10-25 loss to Newport, where Sierra Brock dished out seven digs, head coach Todd Harr noticed a flaw.
“We came up short when it comes to serve receive consistency and will be looking to fix that as the season continues,” he said.
A night later came the near miss in a 20-25, 14-25, 12-25 loss to Riverside in which Katie Kepner had seven assists.
The week closed with a 13-25, 9-25, 14-25 loss to Colville. Hailey Sanders once again led ML in kills with (3).
The Cards are on the road this week having played at Deer Park on Sept. 19 and at Chewelah today, Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m.
