Annual Lakeland Village open house and events
Lakeland Village is holding it’s annual open house on Thursday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event is free and fun for all ages with a day of music, campus tours, train rides, a petting zoo, games and food from Medical Lake’s Pizza Factory.
Lakeland Village, a state-run residential facility, is located on 2320 S. Salnave Road. For more information, call (509) 299-1800.
Flounder, beef stew are Feed ML August highlights
Diners at Feed Medical Lake on Monday, Aug. 14, will have a choice of flounder or Sloppy Joes fries, salad, lima beans and pudding. Grocery distribution starts 4:15 p.m. (bring cooler with ice if not close enough to take it home immediately). Supper is served at 5 p.m.
Then, return to Feed Medical Lake on Monday, Aug. 28 for a choice of beef stew, potato soup, or clam chowder with sandwiches and dessert.
Everything takes place at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 223 S. Hallett St. and is always free. For more information call Joanna Williams at (509) 714-1150.
