July 17
Harassment was reported
on the 2300 block
of University Lane. Ongoing
verbal domestic
violence dispute.
Child abuse/neglect
was reported on the 3400
block of Normal Park
Road. Child Protective
Services requested police
remove three children
from a residence.
Suspicious circumstances
were reported
on the 2500 block of First
Street. An ex-husband
who lives in California
contacted his ex-wife to
arrange to see their child,
who he has not seen in
years. Ex-wife is trying
to avoid him, ex-husband
called in a missing person
report.
July 18
A Kenyan passport
and U.S. Immigration
card was reported missing
on the 200 block of
Cheney-Spangle Road.
Second-degree theft
was reported on the 2800
block of First Street. An
Apple MacBook was
missing.
Fraud was reported
on the 800 block of West
First Street. Person keeps
receiving calls requesting
money be sent.
Police responded to
a report of a man on
the 1500 block of Fourth
Street who cut down a
tree that subsequently
fell across a power pole,
setting the power pole
on fire.
Suspicious circumstances
were reported
on the 800 block of West
First Street. An elderly
female keeps receiving
calls asking for money.
July 21
Burglary was reported
on the zero hundred block
of Spokane Street. Individuals
broke into the old
tire and wheel holding
area at Les Schwab and
stole some wheels.
An individual turned
in a Harley motorcycle
jacket found near Jennings
and Cheney-Spangle
Road in Spokane
County. A firearm was
found in one of the jacket
pockets.
A possible fourth-degree
assault was reported
on the 600 block of C
Street. A male arrived at
a home and was invited
inside by the married
female at the residence.
Male subsequently
forced the woman onto
a mattress in a bedroom,
but when the woman
refused the advances,
she opened the bedroom
door to find her husband
standing there. Altercation
occurred. No arrests
made, but the incident
was forwarded to the
prosecutor’s office for
review.
July 24
Police received a call
of a man who had fallen
from a building window
on the 500 block
of Third Street. Officer
arrived to find fire department
personnel,
who were at another
nearby medical call,
onsite. The man had
either fallen or jumped
from a third-floor apartment
window. Man was
highly intoxicated, had
a broken femur and was
transported to a medical
center.

Officer responded to
an argument on the 500
block of East Frederick
Avenue.
Officer responded to
a report of assault on
the 800 block of Maple
Street.
Officer responded to

Street.

An assault was reported
