Zachary William Hayes left this world too soon. Zachary was born in San Bernardino, Calif. in 1967, one of three children to Fred and Susan Hayes.
As a small child, his family moved to Coos Bay, Ore. He attended schools in Coos Bay and graduated from Roseburg High in Roseburg.
He lived in Roseburg for many years and started a roofing company. He developed a strong love and skills for the building trades.
His son Kyle Zachary Davis Hayes was born in 1989 in Roseburg. Zach moved to Vancouver, Wash. and started his framing business. When the housing boom took off in Spokane County he relocated to Cheney.
He got his general contractors license in 2004 and started CC Enterprises. In 2005 his son Vincent (Vinny) William Hayes was born. Zach has made many friends in the trades and kept old friends from high school.
Zach loved to fish and camp and taught Vinny how to fish at a very young age. He enjoyed helping Vinny with his baseball and scouting adventures. Being a single dad, he devoted much of his time to raising Vinny. He was very proud of Kyle’s graduation from University of Oregon with his bachelor’s degree.
He is survived by his sons Kyle and Vinny, his mother Susan Hayes, his older brother Donald Fredric Hayes his younger sister Katy Susanne Hayes. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Hayes. He is greatly missed and always will be.
A memorial service is being held Saturday, May 6, at the Community Church in Spangle, Wash., 305 E. Second St. at 2 p.m. Friends are welcome to come, and there will be a reception with desserts after the service.
