Medical Lake track swept through its initial Northeast A League meet with Newport on April 19 scoring easy victories over Newport.
The boys won 106–26 and the girls 101–40. The Cardinal boys nearly swept their events, losing only in the shot put, discus and javelin. The girls had a nearly similar performance winning in all but the 4x100 and 4x200 relays, as well as discus and high jump.
The teams collected 36 personal records, but saw a number of season records set as well.
