Churches

Congregational Church (formerly United Church of Christ at 423 Sixth St.)

This Sunday, a group of people will present “A Gravestone Made of Wheat” by Bill Weaver. This is an interesting story from America’s not-too-distant past, teaching some Christian principles that are much needed in our 21st century world and lives.

We are a church in transition, having very recently left the United Church of Christ denomination. We are a progressive, Congregational Protestant church. Our new church name will be determined on April 30, followed by changes in our sign and voicemail message. We will also have a website in the near future.

Sunday services are at 10 a.m. followed by fellowship hour at 11 a.m. Nursery is available. Our main building and bathrooms are fully accessible. Communion is the first Sunday of every month and we always have gluten-free communion bread and juice available for those who need it.

We welcome all people, without regard to their distinctions in the world, who come to be at peace with God and with their neighbors in a worshiping community of service.  We will welcome and stand with all who gather into the safety and fellowship of our church.
