It was another one-match week for the Cheney High boys tennis team, who defeated 3A Greater Spokane League North Central, 6-1, in a nonleague match, March 30.
Aaron Fillmore picked up his first singles win at No. 2 after he defeated Adam Miller (6-1, 6-1), snapping a two-match losing streak. Head coach Jesse Erickson said it was Fillmore's best varsity performance so far.
No. 3 Eric Van Wig won his first varsity match after a close contest against Ryan Hildahl (6-2, 2-6, 6-2), as did No. 4 Hunter Pohl, who swept Chris Prusch (6-0, 6-0).
