Beverly Noreen Lucas

Beverly Noreen Lucas was born May 14, 1932 in Four Lakes, Wash. to Herman and Sauallah Willms and passed away March 27, 2017.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lindy Lucas. She is also survived by her daughters Laura Ranlein, Karen Hankel and son William Lucas. Beverly had seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her sister, Berneal Shepard-Hughes.

Bev married Lindy on March 13, 1954. She worked for the Washington state Department of Social and Health Services where she enjoyed helping special needs children and adults for many years until her retirement in 1993.

Beverly grew up and around Cheney and was raised on the Sunset View Ranch just northwest of town, across from the rodeo grounds.

Beverly was a loving wife and grandmother. She was known to friends and family as a caring, soft-spoken, empathetic and loving woman. She was consistently positive and cheerful to others.

She loved the "Red Hats," card games, puzzles, interior decoration and yard sale collectibles. Beverly will forever be in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at Cheney Funeral Chapel at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 1. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 11 a.m.
