United Methodist Church

The second Sunday of Lent will be observed this week at the United Methodist Church. Worship is at 10 a.m. led by pastors Alissa Bertsch Johnson and Pat Sleeth. Please join us as we continue the Lenten journey.

Preceding worship is at 9 a.m. every week. There is a multi-age Sunday school class for elementary students. A grief support group also meets during the Sunday school hour.

On Sunday, the adult fellowship group will gather for the second annual “Great Chili Cook-Off” at 5 p.m. Bring your best pot of chili, a topping, side or dessert and join us. Right after the meal there will be a movie night at the church at 6 p.m. Donations of men’s pajamas will be accepted this evening for the Union Gospel Mission.

Every Wednesday evening during Lent there is a simple soup supper beginning at 6 p.m. at the church followed by a conversation based on the book, “Shadows, Darkness and Dawn” at 6:45 p.m. The series will run through April 12.
