Peaceful resistance meeting Feb. 25 in Medical Lake

The public is invited to the Medical Lake Library this Saturday, Feb. 25, to learn how to engage in peaceful resistance against the current administration of President Donald Trump. The meeting takes place from 1–3 p.m. at the library, 321 Herb St.

Feed Cheney provides food, live music Feb. 27

Feed Cheney will have the February meal on Monday, Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Wren Pierson Community Center, 615 Fourth St. Groceries will also be distributed to each household, and there will be live music.

Everything is free, with no qualifying required. The Cheney Clothing Bank will be open from 5–7 p.m.

Cheney book group discusses ‘Deep Down Dark’

The Cheney book discussion group will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheney public library.

A discussion of the book “Deep Down Dark,” by Hector Tobar will be presented and led by group member Mary Lou Wade. The book is about the Chilean mine collapse that trapped 33 miners for 69 days in 2010.

The public is invited to join the group at the library.
