The Cheney High School boys swimming team was particularly impacted by the lack of school last week, thanks mainly to two weather-related postponements on top of a Monday holiday.
The Blachawks’ home meet last Thursday with Grandview and Prosser was canceled and will not be made up, head coach Jennifer Hochwalt said, due to the proximity of district competition Feb. 2–4 and scheduling conflicts. The postponement also played a part in Cheney’s 115-55 loss to visiting Pullman on Saturday.
