CHENEY

Jan. 3

Harassment was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street.

Domestic violence was reported on the 1600 block of First Street. Verbal dispute.

Jan. 4

First-degree theft was reported on the 400 block of North Sixth Street.

A red, 2000 Monte Carlo was impounded on the 1600 block of Washington Street.

A 1997 Nissan Sentra was impounded on the 1800 block of Fourth Street.

Taking a motor vehicle without owner’s permission was reported on the 600 block of West Seventh Street. The vehicle was later recovered in Snohomish County, Washington.

Domestic violence was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane. Verbal dispute.

Jan. 5

Police were called to Cheney Municipal Court regarding an individual appearing before the court who had a felony warrant out of Spokane. Cheney officials were informed that Spokane prosecutors intended to recall the warrant. Cheney’s presiding judge asked officials to confirm the warrant was active, and officials did so, arresting the individual. Upon transport to Spokane County Jail, police were notified that Spokane prosecutors had indeed recalled the warrant, and the individual was released with no charges filed.

Police received a report of shots fired at Cheney High School. Subsequently determined that the alleged shot was actually a balloon popping.

Jan. 6

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the zero hundred block of North Third Street. A car was damaged.

Police assisted Cheney Fire Department firefighters on a report of a water leak on the 100 block of North Ninth Street.

Jan. 7

Rhonda L. Stafford, 44, was arrested for possession of controlled substance on the 600 block of Clay Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 400 block of First Street. A cellphone was reported missing, but subsequently recovered.

Jan. 8

Harassment was reported on the 300 block of G Street.

Jan. 4

An animal complaint was reported at South Lefevre Street and South Green Gate Lane.

Jan. 4

An unwanted guest was reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

A traffic accident with injuries was reported at McFarlane Road and Garfield Road.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 11900 block of West Sprague Avenue.

A traffic accident with damages was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

Jan. 5

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 12600 block of West Tower Avenue.

A suspicious person was reported on the 10500 block of West Highway 2.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

Reckless driving was reported at Hayford Road and West Highway 2.

A suspicious person was reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

Jan. 6

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 1600 block of South Deer Heights Road.

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

Criminal trespassing was reported on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

Suicide was reported on the 12600 block of West Fourth Avenue.

Officers responded to a commercial alarm on the 13400 block of West Highway 2.

Jan. 7

Disorderly conduct was reported at Sixth Avenue and Lawson Street.

Theft was reported on the 12400 block of West Frank Street.

Officers conducted a welfare check on the 1000 block of South Tuscany Street.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at Highway 2 and Garfield Road.

Jan. 8

A suicidal subject was reported on the 13900 block of West 12th Avenue.

A traffic accident with damages was reported at Hayford Road and McFarlane Road.

Lost property was reported on the 13900 block of West 12th Avenue.

A traffic accident with damages was reported at Sixth Avenue and Garfield Road.

Theft was reported on the 1400 block of South Garfield Road.

Jan. 9

Theft was reported on the 12800 block of West Highway 2.

An argument was reported on the 12500 block of West Highway 2.

A traffic hazard was reported at Highway 2 and Hayford Road.

Officers responded to an alarm on the 300 block of South Aspen Street.

Jan. 10

Vehicle prowling was reported on the 12500 block of West Sixth Avenue.

A suspicious person was reported on the 200 block of South Hayford Road.
