The significant changes in leadership of three Medical Lake High School sports with the search for three new head coaches was voted by Cheney Free Press staff as the No. 6 local sports story of 2016.
Arnold Brown, Medical Lake's head basketball coach for the past 13 seasons did not have his contract renewed. District officials offered no specifics on the move reported in the May 5 edition.
In addition it was also announced that head football coach Wes Hobbs was retiring after eight years on the job. And head volleyball coach Kari Knowlton also submitted her resig...
