Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Happy New Year. The congregation of Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, Jan. 1 for our “Lessons and Carols” worship service. You may also watch our pastor’s sermons at our website or on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney. No Christian education classes will be held this week. Classes resume next Sunday, Jan. 8 at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books and non-perishable food items are gladly accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Communion is at 11 a.m. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside. Wishing all a Happy New Year of Peace, Joy and Hope.

Attention all college students. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry meets every Monday at 5 p.m. for dinner, study and worship. Please join us. For more information contact Soule at 844-2553.

Choir practice is every Wednesday at 5 p.m. Come sing with us. Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

The law is outside our intimate relationship with God and if you bring a law into the intimate relationship with God, you mess things up. Between the soul and God there are no laws. United Methodist Church

Happy New Year from the Cheney United Methodist Church. Celebrate the New Year with worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday. More of the nativity story will be read, favorite carols sung and Holy Communion served. Mary Jane Shervais will lead the service along with the associate pastor, Pat Sleeth. Sunday school will not be in session this week.
