Toppling the Titans

Junior Delaney Hodgins became just the 17th player in Eastern Washington women's basketball program history to score 1,000 points on Thursday, Dec. 8 as the Eagles scored an 84-67 victory over Cal State Fullerton at Reese Court.

Hodgins scored her 1,000th career point with a 3-point field goal in the third quarter and ended the day with 28 points to give her 1,015 points for her career.

"Delaney has been special since the day she arrived on campus," said head coach Wendy Schuller of Eastern's newest 1,000-point scorer. "She does so many great things. She has a high basketball IQ, she works extremely hard and she is very skilled. The best part about coaching Delaney is that she is never satisfied with what she is doing. She wants to keep getting better and better, and she is going to continue to do that for us over the next year and a half."
