After they set two all-time records for the Eastern Washington University track and field team in the season-opening Candy Cane IX, Rebecca Tarbert and Dawson Lack were both honored with Big Sky Conference Athlete of the Week awards, announced on Dec. 5.
In the women’s 55-meter dash, East Wenatchee’s Tarbert, sped past her competition on the way to a new Big Sky Conference all-time record of 6.78 seconds.
Competing in the 55-meter dash, Lack, a freshman from Medical Lake, won the event with a time of 6.24 seconds, a hundredth of a second faster than the previous EWU record of 6.25....
