Eastern Washington football fans had their sign ready not if, but when, Cooper Kupp set the new NCAA Football Championship Subdivision record for career catches with 396. The record-breaker came with 10 minutes, 59 seconds remaining in the Eagles' 48-17 Big Sky Conference win over Idaho State.
Cooper Kupp chose a very special day to set yet another pass-catching record for the NCAA at Eastern Washington University.
Among the questions being posed along the sidelines last Saturday during Senior Day with the legion of photographers who had hoped Kupp would indeed become the all-time leading pass catcher in NCAA Football Championship Subdivision history on the red at Roos Field were:
