CHENEY

Oct. 31

A 17-year-old male was reported as a runaway from Cheney High School. He returned to home.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 500 block of Simpson Parkway. Three apparently high school-aged individuals threw rocks through the windshield of a passing motor vehicle.

Drew M. Kisling was arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on the 700 block of North Eighth Street.

Nov. 1

Third-degree theft was reported on the 2800 block of First Street. Subject stole $300 worth of cigarettes.

Second-degree theft, possible fraud, was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. The victim had sent money through a social media scam.

Nov. 2

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 600 block of B Street. Police determined the incident could also be a hit and run collision.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 100 block of Fourth Street. A resident reported a possible burglary when she discovered a screen to the bedroom window had been removed.

Melanie R. Loftice, 45, was arrested for second-degree theft on the 2700 block of First Street.

A bag with packets of marijuana in it was found on the school resource officer’s desk when he arrived at Cheney High School and subsequently destroyed at the Police Department.

Nov. 3

Harassment was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane. It is under investigation.

Reckless burning was reported on the 3100 block of Normal Park Road. Juveniles were discovered burning items in a barrel near a shed.

Nov. 4

A 14-year-old female was arrested for minor in possession at Cheney High School.

Sexual assault was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road.

Possible child abuse/neglect was reported on the 2800 block of Al Ogdon Way. Incident deemed unfounded after Child Protective Service investigation.

Nov. 5

Trespassing/domestic violence was reported on the 2300 block of University Lane.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 200 block of Cheney-Spangle Road.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of Elm Street. A bicycle was stolen.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of West Third Street. A bicycle was stolen.

A 17-year-old female was arrested as a runaway on the 900 block of First Street after police responded to a report of a sick female. Female was determined to be intoxicated. A 15-year-old male who was aiding her was also arrested for a warrant out of Spokane Superior Court for minor in possession and possession of dangerous drugs. Both juveniles were from Spokane.

Nov. 6

Second-degree sexual assault was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Victim was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Police are working on an ID of the suspect.

A bicycle was found on the 600 block of Betz Road.

A child abuse/neglect was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street. A 5-year-old wandered away from home and was found by the Police Department on Washington Street. Report of abuse/neglect determined to be unfounded.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of Betz Road. A Santa Cruz mountain bicycle, worth $3,000, was taken.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A bicycle was taken.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A car windshield was shot out with a pellet gun. There are no suspects.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1700 block of Third Street. Two bicycles were stolen.

Dustin L. Leonard, 22, was arrested on a Department of Corrections escape warrant on the 300 block of Erie Street.

Oct. 31

Physical abuse was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road.

Nov. 1

Physical abuse was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road.

Theft was reported on the 200 block of East Lake Street.

A burglary was reported on the 700 block of East Ladd Street.

Nov. 2

Suspicious circumstances were reported at East Percival and North Stanley streets.

Oct. 30

A suspicious vehicle was reported on the 14200 block of West Highway 2.

Disorderly conduct was reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

Theft was reported on the 1400 block of South Garfield Road.

An argument was reported on the 12800 block of West 14th Avenue.

Vehicle theft was reported on the 1300 block of South Ziegler Street.

A suspicious person was reported on the 200 block of South Hayford Road.

Vehicle theft was reported on the 10500 block of West Highway 2.

An accident was reported at Highway 2 and Hayford Road.

Domestic violence was reported on the 1100 block of South Campbell Street.

Officers conducted a welfare check on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

A suspicious person was reported on the 10500 block of West Highway 2.

A suspicious person was reported on the 10800 block of West Highway 2.

A traffic accident was reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

Reckless driving was reported at Hayford Road and Highway 2.

Nov. 4

A suspicious person was reported on the 100 block of North Hayford Road.

An argument was reported on the 1300 block of South Hayford Road.

Officers conducted a welfare check on the 2300 block of South Hayden Road.

Trespassing was reported on the 12600 block of West Highway 2.

Officers conducted a welfare check on the 13500 block of West Sixth Avenue.

An argument was reported on the 11500 block of West Highway 2.

Reckless driving was reported at Sixth Avenue and Garfield Road.

Officers conducted a welfare check at Russell Street and Highway 2.

Disorderly conduct was reported at Highway 2 and Craig Road.
