Oct. 24

Third-degree theft was reported on the 500 block of West Sixth Street. License plates were taken from a vehicle.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 600 block of Marcella Avenue.

Forgery was reported on the zero hundred block of Cheney-Spokane Road.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 500 block of Salnave Road. There was a neighbor dispute.

Oct. 25

A missing person was reported at Cheney High School. The individual returned home.

Oct. 26

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 100 block of Fifth Street.

Harassment was reported on the 2400 block of University Lane.

An abandoned automobile was reported on the 200 block of Fern Street. It was a blue 1991 Toyota Previa.

Oct. 27

A 13-year-old male was arrested for third-degree theft on the 100 block of West First Street.

Rape was reported on the 2500 block of Al Ogdon Way.

Financial fraud was reported on the 2700 block of First Street. An individual tried to cash a check and send money.

Jordan T. Jeffrey, 28, was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) on the 2700 block of First Street.

Oct. 28

Third-degree theft/shoplifting, was reported on the 2700 block of First Street.

A runaway juvenile was reported on the 900 block of Skyview Place. The individual is still missing.

Kendall C. Dillingham, 20, was arrested for third-degree theft and minor in possession on the 2700 block of First Street.

Markell A. Parks, 19, and Devonne J. Pinkett, 20, was arrested for a loud party on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Oct. 29

Tiana F. Toray, 21, was arrested for obstructing a police officer on the 800 block of Fifth Street.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. The case is pending.

Kobai A. Fulton, 19, was arrested for no valid operating license on the 400 block of Betz Road.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 1000 block of Fourth Street. A purse was taken from a vehicle.

Oct. 30

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

Domestic violence/fourth-degree assault was reported on the 100 block of Betz Road. The case is under investigation.

Suspicious circumstances were reported at the Police Department. There was possible sexual assault.

Oct. 31

A subject turned in medications to the Police Department to be destroyed.

(Editor’s note: According to Cheney police officials, the department does not typically dispose of medications but rather refers individuals wishing to dispose of meds to the Spokane County Health District or the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. However, in this case the individual was emphatic about having Cheney police destroy the medications, so they were taken, placed in the property room and will be disposed of according to procedure.)

An animal complaint was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road. Incident was referred to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Oct. 28

A burglary was reported on the 600 block of East Legg Street. Officers could not find evidence of a break in.

Oct. 29

Theft was reported on the 600 block of North Jefferson Street. A cellphone was taken and later returned. The owner did not wish to pursue charges.

Oct. 30

Joshua R. Stark, 35, was arrested on the 1200 block of East Stanley Drive for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.
