Medical Lake falls to Deer Park 3-2 in soccer shootout

For a second consecutive week, Medical Lake lost a Northeast A League soccer game in a shootout.

But this one, a 3-2 loss at Deer Park on Oct. 13 carried a bit more weight than did their setback by the same score on Oct. 6 at Riverside.

In a contest that gave the winner sole possession of first place in the NEA, Deer Park (8-2 NEA, 10-3 overall) got a shootout goal from Lily Pierce to decide it. Medical Lake (8-3, 9-5) will have to play a wait and see game to find where they land in possible postseason play.
