A potential turning point in last Friday’s Northeast A League football game between Medical Lake and Riverside came in the waning seconds of the first half.
The Cardinals were moving downfield and seeming like they would score to end a two-game string of shutouts. But Dylan Vercoe’s pass was intercepted and that was the last time the Cardinals came close to scoring, losing 32-0 to the Rams on Hall of Fame Night at Holliday Field.
With the loss the Cardinals fell to 0-3 in NEA play and 0-5 overall. Riverside (1-3 NEA, 1-4 overall) won for the first time.
