Cheney school board sees updated capital facilities plan

The Cheney Public Schools board of directors, along with several audience members, got a preliminary look at two capital facility upgrade scenarios at their only meeting in September last Wednesday.

According to information provided by the school district, both scenarios contain common features that include renovation work not only at Cheney High School but also several grade schools. Betz, Sunset in Airway Heights and Windsor elementary schools would add classrooms and more secure entry ways while Sunset would receive added gym, cafeteria and assembly space.
