Cheney Community Church
Sunday worship is at 10 a.m. with Children’s Church and nursery care provided. Teens and adults meet at 9 a.m. Visitors are welcome.
Activities this week include participation in the Eastern Washington University Neighbor Festival, Friday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 24, at 9 a.m. a workshop, “Sharing Your Faith Every Day” will be offered in the fellowship hall. The community is invited to a block party Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25, 3 – 6 p.m. There will be music, food and activities. Open to all. Join the fun.
Middle and high school teens meet Monday evenings at 6 p.m. for dinner, then 6:30-8:00 p.m. for Bible study and other activities. AWANA Club for boys and girls meets every Wednesday at 6 p.m. for teens and 6:30 p.m. for the younger kids. A new group beginning this week is the Women’s Bible Study group at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings.

Cheney United Church of Christ

Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the sermon on the topic of open and affirming. Immediately following the service, there will be a barbeque sponsored by the church council.

Four Lakes Community Church
Four Lakes Community Church is a non-denominational Village Missions Church. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. and our worship service at 10:45 a.m. All are welcome.
Join us for weekly Wednesday evening music practice at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday evenings, AWANA is at 6:30 p.m. for grades pre-K through eighth grade. On Friday mornings, the men’s breakfast and bible study is at 7 a.m. and a ladies Bible study to begin soon on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.

Coming soon, our yard sale is on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the parish hall and parking lot. Items available will include household goods, kitchenware, some furniture, clothing and shoes.

United Methodist Church
Wear your Eagle gear or Eastern colors of red, black and white to church this Sunday. We will welcome EWU students and staff at worship at 10 a.m. Pastor Alissa Bertsch Johnson will begin a new sermon series, “Following God’s Vision: The Future at Cheney UMC.” Associate pastor Pat Sleeth will assist with the service. Come for a spirit-filled morning.
A multi-age Sunday school class for students in grades kindergarten through fifth-grade starts at 9 a.m. A grief support group is also available at 9 a.m. based on the book, “A Grace Disguised” by Jerry Sittser.
