Cheney Historical Museum project could put history on Smartphones, laptops, PCs

The Cheney Historical Museum director wants to take history out of the confines of the downtown location and put it into the real world for everyone to experience. To do that, she has been busy using several Internet sites allowing users to link the past with the present.
Mamanakis presented some of the work she has done on two of those sites - Historypin.org and TheClio.com - to the Cheney Historical Preservation Commission at its Sept. 1 meeting.
