Former Cheney School District facility could make local historical registry as prospective buyer seeks national listing
Cheney’s Historic Preservation Commission took an important step towards preserving a piece of the city’s history by unanimously approving an application for inclusion on the local historic registry for the Fisher Building. The Fisher Building began life in 1931 as Cheney High School, and over the years has served also as the junior high school and administration building before being declared surplus and put up for sale by the school district in May 2013.
