Emmanuel Lutheran Church

The congregation of Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, Aug. 28. You may also watch our pastor’s sermons at our website or on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney. Adult education begins at 9 a.m.

Coming soon: Emmanuel’s Free Community Pantry will be open to the public at 639 Elm St. in the front of the church by mid-September. The community pantry will contain non-perishable food, baby and personal care items donated by the community and the congregation. All are welcome to take what you need and leave what you can.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Eucharist is at 11 a.m. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry will resume in September.

Our community garden at St. Paul’s is consisting of flowers and vegetables in raised planter boxes and it is thriving. Volunteers are welcome to help us in this endeavor. Produce is going primarily to the Cheney Food Bank.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

For your contemplation, “God help us to listen to our loved ones, play with our loved ones, laugh with our loved ones, weep with our loved ones, forgive our loved ones, take responsibility for our loved ones, be faithful to our loved ones forever. May we be a blessing to our families. Amen.”

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship at 10 a.m. Sunday morning at the United Methodist Church. Retired UMC pastor, the Rev. Bob Foote, will preach the second in a sermon series on the “Five Gifts of Cheney UMC.” Associate pastor Pat Sleeth will assist with the service. Portland pianist and recording artist, John Nelson, will provide special music. Join us as we worship and experience his musical gifts.
