Linda Jean Stredwick passed away March 17, 2016 at age 61 in Burien, Wash. from complications of juvenile diabetes.
She was born July 3, 1954 to Ruth and Ralph Stredwick of Pasco, Wash. After the family moved to Cheney, Linda grew up and attended Cheney High School, where she became an awesome singing talent. Her talents and vitality took her to become a member of the Cheney High School Ambassadors, participate in many plays and musicals and she was crowned Cheney's Junior Miss in 1972. At the Washington State Junior Miss Pageant she was voted Miss Congeniality by her peers.
Linda attended Eastern Washington State College and earned her bachelor's degree in music. She returned to Eastern to earn her master's degree in music and met her future husband, Stuart Horn.
Linda and Stuart moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California where she earned her teaching credentials and worked as a grade school teacher in the Palmdale School District. She loved the kids and the kids loved her.
A few years ago Linda returned to the Northwest where she lived until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth in 1984 and her father Ralph in 2015. She is survived by ex-husband Stuart, her brothers Paul (Tina) of Snohomish, Wash., James, Vincent and Jacob and many close friends and relatives.
Linda had a full life, even with her diabetes holding her back at each step.

A memorial tribute will be held graveside Sunday, July 3, at 10 a.m. where Linda was laid to rest next to her mother at the Spokane-Cheney Memorial Gardens, 5909 Cheney-Spokane Road.
