Medical Lake softball routs Newport

The hope is that hot bats that came in last week’s game with Newport stay on the job as the Medical Lake Cardinals close out regular-season play in the Northeast A League.

Medical Lake (4-6 NEA, 8-7 overall) needed just three innings to put away Newport 19-1 on the road May 4 and entertained the Grizzlies (0-11 NEA, 0-11 overall) this past Tuesday, May 10. The Cardinals finish the season at home Saturday with a doubleheader against league-leading Colville (10-1, 15-1) beginning at 11 a.m.
