Some of Cheney High’s varsity track and field members may be doing a little over-the-shoulder looking, thanks to the Blackhawks junior varsity squads.
The Cheney girls scored 178 points to capture the District 7 JV Invitational held May 5 in Pullman, with the Blackhawks boys notching 109 for third. West Valley easily captured the boys’ title, while the host Greyhound girls finished just 18 points back of Cheney in second.
