On April 26, the Tyler Grange 610 Highway Litter Control Team of volunteers Diane Smart, Gordon Pearson, Zack Pearson, Glen Srock, Dave Shuey, Len Barnett, Lyle Polack, Bob Shea and Evelyn Shea picked up 15 litter bags of discarded beer and pop cans and bottles, soiled diapers, fast food and convenience store containers and wrappers along two miles of State Route 904.
Multiply that by the 16.94-mile length of the highway and it comes out to 127 bags of garbage. Consider the litter on a more heavily traveled highway such as Interstate 90.
