Isabell C. Standish

Isabell C. Standish, 94, of Cheney, passed away April 16, 2016 at the Cheney Care Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1921 in Tacoma, Wash. to Eddie and Alice (Barker) Allen.

She came to Cheney in 1989 and was a member of the Cheney United Methodist Church, Cheney Historical Museum, Tillicum Club, Eastern Star, Red Hat Ladies and Senior Club. She also belonged to a group that walked and swam several times a week, and received awards for Spokane County volunteer services as she made lots of afghans for less fortunate folks and veterans.

A huge thank you to everyone at the Cheney Care Center for their love, respect and excellent care the four years mom was with you.

Isabell is survived by her sons, Gary Standish, Ed Standish and Jack Standish, along with nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
