Small town response shines after fall

Letters to the Editor

Living in Medical Lake has been a blessing for us and all those that want a small town with a caring atmosphere. This was so true this past Friday when I had an accident outside the Medical Lake Library.

Having fallen, people came running outside the library. Elisabeth Moseley was the first person to help and she took charge. Behind Elisabeth were Marilyn Baugh, Mary Seagraves and Carolyn Wolfe. All were there to help and they did.

Being flat on my face, bleeding and needing help, an EMT who was getting books for herself, on her lunch hour, came running. This Angel of Mercy ran to her vehicle grabbed her bag and started helping.

She proceeded to get the bleeding stopped and reassured me that all would be okay.  Trying to get up was an almost impossible task until a young man, with his family in the library, came to help. With my Angels of Mercy and my husband, I was able to get up and was put into the car. We have no idea who the EMT or the young man was, but we would like to thank them and all who helped with my accident.

People here in Medical Lake pitch in when needed, are generous and taught us how great it is to be from Medical Lake. If we had lived in New York, Seattle, Los Angeles or any other major city, hands would have been out to get paid or my safety wouldn’t have been a major concern. By the way, I am doing well now with a broken nose, a super glued large cut and major contusions.

Thank you all of Medical Lake for being you!
